ManyChat alternative

The ManyChat alternative that doesn’t charge you for growing.

ManyChat is a good product. It’s also priced so that the better your Instagram does, the more you pay, and built so that you do the thinking it should be doing for you.

DMflo takes the opposite position. You keep the keyword flows you rely on, and agents that read intent handle everything those keywords miss. Replies in the language your audience actually types, mixed languages included. The whole thing running from your phone, not a laptop. And a flat price, whatever your numbers.

What changed

Why people are looking for a ManyChat alternative right now.

On 2 March 2026, ManyChat cut its free plan from 1,000 active contacts to 25 and moved to contact-based billing. A plan you could genuinely run a small creator business on became a sandbox overnight.

The deeper issue isn’t the cut. It’s the model underneath it. When you’re billed per active contact, a Reel that does well is an invoice. You end up managing your automation to keep costs down, which is the exact opposite of why you automated anything.

ManyChat details as of July 2026. Check manychat.com/pricing for current terms.

Side by side

DMflo vs ManyChat.

Both can send a DM when someone comments. The difference is who does the thinking, what happens when a message isn’t in English, and what the bill looks like a year from now.

The four real differences

What actually changes when you switch.

01 · Pricing

Your bill doesn’t move when a Reel goes viral.

Per-contact pricing sounds fair until you have a good month. Ten thousand new people in your DMs is the outcome you wanted. It shouldn’t arrive as an overage line.

DMflo is ₹0, ₹599, or ₹1,999 a month, or ₹499 and ₹1,499 if you pay yearly. That’s it. No per-contact billing, no per-message meter, no AI add-on. We think charging more when you succeed is a success tax, so we don’t charge one.

  • Same price at 100 contacts or 100,000
  • No overage lines, ever
  • AI included, not an add-on

02 · Language

Your audience doesn’t type in clean English. Neither do we.

This is the one nobody else has solved.

Real comments look like “price kitna hai?” and “magkano po ito sis?” and “dude, me lo mandas?” A keyword-only tool built in San Francisco sees noise. DMflo reads it natively, the language and the script, Devanagari or Roman, Hangul or Latin, and answers in exactly the same way.

No translation layer. No language settings. Nothing to configure.

Their commentकीमत क्या है? क्या COD है? 🙏
Same language, same script
DMfloनमस्ते! ₹1,299 का है, COD भी उपलब्ध है ✨
03 · Both layers

Keyword flows and agents, on one platform.

Keyword flows are good at what they’re good at. When you want an exact, predictable reply, a discount code, a link, a giveaway rule, you build the flow and it fires the same way every time. DMflo gives you that, and you stay in control of it.

What rule-based tools can’t do is everything else. Someone phrases the question differently and nothing happens, so you keep adding keywords to a list forever.

So DMflo puts four agents behind your flows. Your keywords handle the cases you predicted. The agents read intent and cover the rest, in your voice and in your audience’s language. You only step in for the conversations that genuinely need you.

Your keyword flowsExact replies you configure, firing predictably every time.
Engagement agentAnswers everything the keywords miss, in your voice.
Sales agentSpots buying intent and steers toward a link or a checkout.
Moderation agentHides spam before anyone sees it.
Lead-capture agentTurns warm followers into an email and SMS list you own.
04 · Mobile

You build it on your phone, and you watch it work on your phone.

To be fair: ManyChat has a mobile app. So do several tools here. That’s not the difference.

The difference is what you can do in it. In DMflo’s app you create the automation, goals, brand voice, every agent, the full setup, and then you watch your numbers in real time: click-through, accounts reached, which conversations converted. Live, in your hand.

ManyChat’s app has four tabs: Home, Live Chat, Contacts, Automation. There’s no analytics view. New flow creation is limited to Instagram flows, and per their own documentation integrations, contact imports, roles, billing and even reconnecting your Instagram account are web-only. Their guidance is to use the web version for anything advanced.

That’s a window onto a desktop product. It assumes you have a laptop. If you run your business from your phone, and most creators do, that’s the difference between a tool you set up once and forget, and one you actually adjust after every post.

The honest bit

Where ManyChat is still the better choice.

We’d rather you pick right than pick us.

Stay on ManyChat if…

These are real reasons. We’re not going to pretend otherwise.

  • You need WhatsApp, SMS, and email in one platform. DMflo is Instagram-only, on purpose.
  • You’ve built deep multi-branch flow trees and want that exact level of manual branching. DMflo does keyword flows, but not their full visual builder.
  • You need a mature integrations marketplace today.

Switch to DMflo if…

If two or more of these are true, the switch pays for itself.

  • Per-contact billing is punishing you for growing
  • Your audience writes in Hindi, Hinglish, Spanish, Tagalog, Arabic, or any mix
  • You run your business from your phone and want a tool that fully does too
  • You want it running in two minutes, not an afternoon at a desk
  • You want your keyword flows to keep working, with agents covering everything they miss
Switching

From ManyChat. They’re yours. Take them.

2

Connect Instagram

One tap to link DMflo. We never post as you.

3

Set your goal and voice

Tell the agents what you want and show them how you write.

4

Go live

Turn off ManyChat once you’re happy.

Compliant by design. Meta’s messaging rules, the 24-hour window, one private reply per comment, rate limits, are enforced inside DMflo. The agents can’t break them.
Good questions

ManyChat vs DMflo, answered.

Is DMflo cheaper than ManyChat?
Usually, and the gap widens as you grow. DMflo Pro is ₹599/month (₹499 billed yearly) and Agentic is ₹1,999/month (₹1,499 billed yearly), flat, whatever your contact count. ManyChat’s Essential starts at $14/month for 250 contacts and scales up with your audience, with per-contact overages above plan limits. At small scale it’s close. At 5,000 contacts it isn’t.
Can I import my ManyChat contacts?
Yes. Export from ManyChat, import to DMflo. They’re your contacts.
Does DMflo do WhatsApp?
No. Instagram only. That focus is why setup takes two minutes instead of an afternoon, but if you need WhatsApp, ManyChat or Wati will serve you better and we’d rather say so.
Does ManyChat have a mobile app?
Yes, on iOS and Android. But it’s a companion to their web dashboard. It has four tabs (Home, Live Chat, Contacts, Automation) and no analytics view, new flow creation is limited to Instagram flows, and per ManyChat’s own documentation integrations, contact imports, user roles, channel reconnection (their “Refresh Permissions” feature) and billing are web-only.
Can I create automations from the DMflo app?
Yes, and it’s the full setup, not a cut-down version. Goals, brand voice, which agents handle what. About two minutes, no laptop involved.
Can I see analytics in the DMflo app?
Yes, in real time. Link click-through rate, unique accounts reached, and which conversations converted, live as it happens, not a weekly export from a desktop dashboard.
Is DMflo safe? Will it get my account flagged?
Meta’s messaging rules, the 24-hour window, one private reply per comment, rate limits, are enforced inside DMflo. The agents can’t break them. That’s our job to handle, not yours to remember.
Which languages does DMflo handle?
Any. If someone writes in Hindi, Spanish, Korean, Arabic, Portuguese or Tagalog, the agents reply in that language and that script. They also read the mixes real people actually type: Hinglish, Spanglish, Konglish, Tanglish, Taglish, Arabizi. Nothing to set up.
